Sanchayeeta Verma, Chief Executive Officer of Carat India, has stepped down from her role, marking a significant leadership change at dentsu’s flagship media agency. Verma’s exit was first reported by Storyboard18, citing sources close to the development.
Appointed in 2023, Verma was brought on board to accelerate Carat India’s growth and consolidate its presence in the dynamic Indian media and advertising market. Based in Bengaluru, she played a key role in driving strategic innovation, nurturing client relationships, and building future-ready teams during her tenure.
A Seasoned Leader in Advertising and Media
With close to 30 years of experience, Verma has held senior leadership roles at some of the top agencies, including GroupM’s Mindshare and Wavemaker. She is known for her ability to fuse creative insight with business strategy, and for delivering integrated media solutions to high-profile brands across industries.
Before joining Carat India, Verma also worked with Lintas Media Group, JWT, and Kiwi TTK, contributing to her versatile expertise in media, content, data, and technology.
Throughout her career, Verma has served a wide array of clients including Google, Nestlé, ITC, Myntra, Titan, Ford, PepsiCo, and many others across sectors such as FMCG, e-commerce, telecom, and finance. Her deep understanding of Indian consumer behaviour and cross-sector experience made her a valuable asset in shaping Carat’s client-centric approach.
What’s Next for Carat India?
Verma’s departure is expected to create a leadership gap, even as dentsu gears up for a smooth succession plan. While the agency has yet to announce her replacement, her exit highlights a transitional phase for Carat India as it continues to evolve in an increasingly competitive media landscape.
