
In a significant milestone for its leadership journey, Nippon Koei India has appointed G Sampath Kumar as its first-ever Indian Managing Director, marking a historic moment for the Indian arm of the Japanese engineering and consulting firm. The announcement was made following the company’s Annual General Meeting.
A Veteran Takes the Helm
G Sampath Kumar, who has been with the organization for over a decade as Director, succeeds Katsuya Fukasaku, who now transitions to the role of Chairman. The company also announced the induction of Tetsuto Nakano and Takuya Nakagawa as Directors, bringing further depth and global expertise to the leadership team.

An IIT-BHU alumnus, Kumar brings over 35 years of experience in civil engineering and IT consultancy, making him exceptionally well-positioned to lead Nippon Koei India into its next growth chapter.
