Myntra Gears Up for EORS 2025, Onboards 20,000 Gig Workers to Tackle Demand Surge

India’s leading fashion and lifestyle platform, Myntra, is stepping up operations ahead of its highly anticipated 22nd End of Reason (EORS) sale, scheduled from May 31 to June 12, 2025. To ensure smooth customer experiences during the sale, the company has onboarded over 20,000 gig workers, including 4,500 delivery partners, 1,000 customer service agents, and logistics support teams.

Strengthening Logistics and Support Functions

Warehouse staff: Hands-on roles such as sorting, grading, and packing—22% of whom are women—will be deployed at fulfillment centers in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.

Delivery and last-mile teams: 4,500 gig delivery agents will manage order fulfillment.
Customer support staff: 1,000 agents to resolve queries swiftly.

Strategic Growth through Flexibility

This surge in gig-hiring supports Myntra’s “customer-first” approach and commitment to delivering exceptional service during peak demand. The move also offers thousands of flexible income opportunities during one of the company’s biggest sales events.

Backed by Expansion Efforts

Myntra’s workforce ramp-up aligns with broader expansion strategies. Earlier this year, the company raised approximately ₹1,062.5 crore from its parent, FK Myntra Holdings, intended to fuel both domestic and international growth. In 2024, Flipkart also injected $81 million into the platform. Myntra is further enhancing its delivery ecosystem with features like 30-minute deliveries in Bengaluru and launching international shipping pilot programs.

Why It Matters

  • Customer experience: Ensures faster order fulfilment and efficient query resolution at scale.
  • Gig economy impact: Creates short-term work options for thousands, benefiting students and part-time earners.
  • Operational resilience: Demonstrates Myntra’s ability to scale workforce in response to peak-season demand dynamically.

By combining aggressive gig-hiring with strategic operational upgrades, Myntra is setting a new benchmark in managing large-scale e-commerce events. As digital commerce grows increasingly competitive, this proactive approach may set the tone for season-driven workforce models across the industry.
